Greenhouse Gas Reduction Potential based on Waste Recovery Factor in Gading and Dukuh Setro Subdistrics, Surabaya

People’s growth and their activities increase waste generation. Therefore, efforts to reduce are needed, including community-based reduction efforts. This research is located in Gading Dukuh Setro sub-districts Surabaya City. The purpose of this study was measure the potential for greenhouse gas reduction. Measurement generation, composition, density based on SNI 19-3964-1994. researcher conducted sampling low, middle, high-income areas, covering 83 families. Greenhouse emissions were estimated using LandGEM (U.S. EPA) method disposed at landfill, considering existing conditions optimal material recovery.
